CampMap has contractual agreements with its customers which induce but are not limited to (campsites, outdoor events, campgrounds, holiday parks, RV resorts, national parks or other outdoor spaces). CampMap creates and maintains a digital map of the customers property or space and CampMap has the right to publish the map and data online and in material formats. This usually takes the form of a map on our website, an iFrame on the customers website and other digital formats when required.

This depends a lot on the size of the property or space and the quality of any existing maps and some other factors; however, we aim to have all maps created within 2-4 weeks.

We are able to take CampMap 360 Photos anytime however, it is often better when there are not too many guests and the weather is good. For temperate areas of the world spring time is usually ideal but autumn also works well.

When we start to create a digital map for a customer, they will be given access to an online Business Account. When the map is complete, the customer will be able to edit or add data such as descriptions, opening times, images for features or accommodation units. Those changes can be done at any time. However, the customer cannot make changes to the shape, position or add and remove any map features or accommodation units. To make changes like this you must contact out support team.

It is possible to navigate anywhere inside the map form your own location to any other feature or accommodation space using a turn by turn visualised route. The navigation updates in real time and only requires permission from your device to use the location of the device.

When the map is complete, we provide our customers with a few lines of HTML code called an iFrame, the html tag is <iframe>. The iFrame can be inserted into any website where the location size and orientation can be adjusted, and the map will automatically appear when the web page laods. For best results we recommend adding the iFrame this to the home page or easily accessible from the main menu.

At present, we do not support adding a customer’s own tracking or analytics code into the map. However, this is something that may be possible in the future, and we would react to customer demand in this situation.

In the process of map creation, we capture a huge amount of data, which may also include 3D information. It is in our product development roadmap to allow this information to be displayed on the map. We will inform our customers when this feature is available.

We capture the amount, or level of shade for every pitch, site or accommodation unit where this is available. This data is displayed on the side bar when a map feature is clicked.

The map displays a lot of data for every pitch, site or accommodation unit such as; label, area + usable area, pricing category, zone category, availability (if connected), surface or ground type, images, photos and descriptions. We are adding new data attributes all of the time.

Yes, CampMap has several integrations available for PMS and Booking Systems and we are adding new connections based on customer demand and general expansion of our features and markets. Contact our sales team to find out exactly what we have available.

All features must be included in the map but they do not need to be inside the boundary of the property or space. This would allow them to be induced in search and navigation but not create a distraction from the primary purpose of the map.

Yes – we can connect any booking flow so users can make a booking request directly within the map. We also have an inquiry system which would allow users to make an inquiry from the map and the customer would receive this inquiry as an email and manage it within the business account. These features are only available in our Standard and Premium subscription packages.

We do not manage pricing data in CampMap but we can request pricing data from an external system such as a PMS or Booking System. This data would be displayed in the map with other attribute data on the side bar.

Every map we make can be customised with brand logo and colours for accommodation unit pricing category and zone. Website, summary description and documents such as house rules or information are also added. specific descriptions for you camp and attach house rules and other documents as PDF's. Further customisation is possible within our Premium subscription where custom icons and map styles can be implemented to fit your brand.

One of the primary goals of CampMap is to improve the communication with guests and to help businesses improve guest experience. For this reason, we are developing surveys that can be built into the map to ask users questions or allow them to leave feedback.

Yes – it is possible to upload PDF documents for the map as a whole, this is useful for house rules or policies. PDF documents can also be uploaded to any feature, this is useful for uploading menu’s to restaurants or timetables to children’s activities for example.

The map has a scale in the map window and an active legend within the map filters. We will be improving the legend as we continue to develop the map.

The map is fully searchable and the search bar will provide all the results based on your search words. There are options to search map features or accommodation.

The map can be filtered using the filters buttons at the top of the map window. The filters are very powerful and as standard they are setup to work in the best way for most customers. However, they can be configured specifically for you map and how what works best for your users.

In our Standard and Premium subscriptions and on request we can create a printable version of the map and the customer has permission to print it and use it for handouts and other marketing purposes. Full details are provided in the offer we send to all customers. In the basic subscription the customer does not have permission to print out the map.

CampMap is designed to provide an simple and informed process to inquire about or book an accommodation unit by specific pitch or site number. However, CampMap is not a booking or PMS system and therefore the booking or PMS system the customer uses must also support this functionality.

CampMap is fully translatable, this includes dynamic content such as descriptions and labels. The current languages we support are: English, Italian and German. We will continue to add further languages as we developed the product and based on customer demand.

If you do not have marked pitches, sites or accommodation units that is fine. We offer an accommodation type that is an unmarked area where multiple guests can be accommodated such as an open field or forested area. This area can managed in terms of total occupancy e.g. 50% full, so you can still keep track of availability.

As part of our application, we want to help our customers understand how well each individual accommodation unit performs from a business perspective. We are developing Analytics tool that will clearly show which parts of your property are doing well and which need more of your attention. This data is going to enable our custoemrs to make smarter business decisions.

If you make physical changes to your property, such as adding or removing accommodation units and building new facilities this is ok. We understand this happens and we provide free map updates without our Standard and Premium subscription packages. Any map updates outside of this offer are charged at an hourly rate according to the offer we send to all customers.

The interactive map is good. If you can see beforehand where the water and power connections are, you can take enough cables or hoses with you. For us personally, shade is an important point. My husband and I just love camping, but I have a sun allergy, so I must be extra careful when planning a trip. It’s nice to see that information included in the pitch description on the map.
